A "Full Monte" for Rafa !!

Rafa finished his final against Federer, got his shield, thanked everybody, before he quickly ran to team up with doubles partner Tommy Robredo to compete for another title on Sunday, against fourth-seeded pair, Mahesh Bhupathi & Mark Knowles.

The Spanish duo finished off their opponents 6-3, 6-3, as Rafa became only the second player in open-era history to win both singles and doubles titles in the same ATP Masters Series event. Only Jim Courier did that before at Indian Wells in 1991.

Unseeded Rafa and Robredo had a good run at Monte Carlo as they ousted third seeds, Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic, and eighth seeds Jonas Bjorkman and Kevin Ullyett on their way to the final.

The Spaniards plan on teaming up in the Olympics this summer in China to try and bring home some gold.

I can't believe he's playing and winning doubles too. I am sensing a burnout by the time the French Open comes.

I agree with "anonymous" above, Rafa will be too tired by the time the French Open comes. Maybe he should skip Hamburg. This year is Federer's year at the French!!!!!
