Federer-Djokovic Fight For #2 is On

The world's number 2 and 3, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic, start their seasons this week in Doha and Brisbane respectively, with only 20 points separating them in the rankings.

Both players have no points to defend this week and are participating in ATP World Tour 250 events, which means that whoever goes further in their tournament this week will be the world number 2 come Monday.

The race is on, and despite it being the opening week of the season, we are already at the edge of our seats...

Federer gave his typical unfazed response about the possibility of slipping to number 3 in the world:

"I'm not worried about it. Anyway it's not the number one spot."

He can play it cool all he wants, but am sure he doesn't wanna lose sight of Rafa; and there's no better view of the Spaniard than that from the number 2 position, don't you think?!?!
