Quote of the Day - Roger Federer on Marat Safin

"I love playing against the guy [Safin]. He brings something different to the tennis world with his character, the way he is on the court and the way he is off the court. He's larger than life."

"Yeah, I respect him for what a competitor he is. I hope it's not the last one tonight. If it were to be the last one at the Australian Open, I think we both kind of feel good about having played each other at the highest level. We tried to come with a good match." Roger Federer on Marat Safin

Some very kind words from one of the game's best players ever, Roger Federer. Federer beat Marat Safin at the Aussie Open 3rd round on Friday. The match was probably Safin's last ever at the Australian Open, given the fact that the former world number 1 announced that he's playing his final ATP season. Am sure the Russian star will be missed in Melbourne, where he reached the final in 2004 and clinched his 2nd Grand Slam title, in 2005.
