DC Update: Spain Too Strong For Serbia, Rafa Too Strong For Djoko

World number 1, Rafael Nadal, outplayed world number 3, Novak Djokovic, in the fourth rubber of the Spain vs Serbia Davis Cup tie, as he beat the Djokovic, 6-4, 6-4, 6-1 to give Spain an unassailable 3-1 lead over Serbia, and clinch a spot in the quarterfinals against Germany.

The Spaniards will play at home again in the quarters so I guess it's safe to assume that Spain are already in the semis don't you think?!?!

"Djokovic was much better than yesterday, playing with more rhythm and confidence but the ball was kicking up quite a lot and that was favorable for me,"
said Nadal.

"We are playing at home again in the quarters and that gives us a great chance of making it to the semis." See, even Rafa thinks so!!

"It's not an excuse but if the conditions had been better and we had had more time to practice I think we would have put up a better fight."

"I wasn't 100 per cent prepared.... It's not easy switching from a quick surface to a slow one like clay, especially when you are up against the number one in the world."

I don't get it; why would someone start a sentence saying "it's not an excuse" then go ahead and just list a whole bunch of excuses?!?! Man up Nole, you guys were outplayed by a bunch of extraordinary Spanish claycourters, playing at home, on clay. Enough said!
